You can expect top of the line features such as 4:4:4, HDR, 3D, and full 4K 60hz support for all of your media consumption. What sets this set above the majority of HDTVs is full-array local dimming, which does a stunning job at improving your image quality over traditional edge-lit local dimming HDTVs. 1080p sources sent through the X1 processor look excellent on the X940C, and the Triluminous display is a cut above the competition. If you’re not one for external audio, the speakers on the X940C are noticeably better than most stock HDTV offerings, which may be sufficient for your aural needs. While I wouldn’t recommend this HDTV for any sort of critical viewing, it does maintain low input lag, which makes it an ideal option for gamers on a tight budget. The input lag of the UN32J4000 is 28ms when tested with a 1080p source, which means you can output 1080p resolution from your PlayStation 4/Xbox One and have the TV downscale the image to 720p. The price is hard to beat too, coming in under $199 as of this writing.
